Our Story

PayNest was founded in Lagos in 2022 with a simple mission: help Nigerians sell their international gift cards quickly, securely, and at fair rates. We noticed that many Nigerians had gift cards from abroad – Amazon, Steam, Apple, Google Play – but few reliable ways to convert them to Naira.

Existing platforms were either too slow, offered poor rates, or worse – weren't trustworthy. We built PayNest to solve this problem. Today, we serve thousands of active traders across Nigeria, processing millions of Naira in gift card trades every month.

We're not trying to be the biggest – just the most trusted. Our focus remains on doing one thing well: gift card trading.

What We Do

PayNest is a peer-to-peer and direct trading platform for gift cards. We connect buyers and sellers of digital gift cards, providing a secure escrow system that protects every transaction.

Supported gift cards include: Amazon, Steam, Apple iTunes, Google Play, Netflix, Spotify, Nintendo eShop, Xbox Live, Razer Gold, and many more. We also support trading of digital assets like WordPress themes, Laravel scripts, and Figma designs.

Our platform handles everything from card verification to instant payouts. Sellers receive Naira directly to their Opay, Kuda, or any Nigerian bank account – usually within 3-5 minutes of verification.

How We Protect You

Escrow Protection: Every trade on PayNest is protected by our multi-signature escrow system. Funds are held securely until both parties confirm the transaction. No one can run away with your money or gift card.

KYC & AML Compliance: We verify every user's identity (BVN, government ID) and monitor all transactions for suspicious activity. We report to Nigerian financial authorities as required by law.

24/7 Support: Our customer support team is available around the clock to help with any issues, disputes, or questions. Most tickets are resolved within 2 hours.
